It all started a few days back when a popular hashtag - #PrayForNeasamani took the Internet by storm. It landed popular comedian, Vadivelu in the middle of the tweet storm all of a sudden and all thanks to a random Facebook user, Vignesh Prabhakar.

Vadivelu opens up on the pray for Neasamani trend

For the unversed, this trend hit when a Pakistani Facebook user, posted a picture of a hammer and asked what it was called in other countries. And as they say the rest is history as the comments that followed took hilarious turns.

Then, came the person who was responsible for the trend. Vignesh Prabhakar took to his social media and replied ‘suthiyal’ which means hammer in Tamil. He went on to refer a famous character portrayed by Vadivelu in the 2001 Tamil film, Friends which also starred Vijay, Suriya, Devyani amongst others. Directed by Siddique, the user went on to refer to the character where the hammer falls on Vadivelu essaying the role of a building contractor by the name, Neasamani’s head and falls unconscious.

To which, unaware of the real reference by Vignesh, a user replied that he would pray for Neasamani and then the hilarious turn of events continues. During an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, our Neasamani had made some interesting revelations from the film.

In the whole interview, he was super-excited and happy that his character from a scene has reached worldwide and has taken the Internet by storm. He has also shared some unknown stories from his film, ‘Friends’. He also opened up on the controversies and Meme creators. Check out the interview here -
