Trapped Hindi movie produced by Anurag Kashyap will not have an interval during it’s screening

Trapped, a Hindi movie produced by Anurag Kashyap, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl has Rajkummar Rao and Geetanjali Thapa in the lead roles. The film which is all set to hit the screens on March 17th, 2017, is a survival thriller directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.

The latest reports suggest that this movie will strictly not have an interval during it’s screening. It has a duration of 105 minutes which will apparently play without a break.

This is a very innovative move from the makers to keep the audience’s attention fixed to their product. Also, movie lovers and film buffs will have no distractions while watching this thriller and this idea could prove to be a big boost to hold the flow of content.

However, for commercial movie goers and family audiences, a break or interval has been a mandatory tradition. Even theatre owners who make their profits out of the food and beverage sales from their canteens during the intervals, might not benefit largely from this new idea.

It is to be noted that Hollywood films releasing abroad, do not have an intermission but when they release in India, there is a placement of a force fitted interval to cater to these mass audiences. Will there be such a force fitted intermission for “Trapped”? We shall have to wait to find out.
