The Income Tax Department made a sudden raid on four parties including popular production house AGS Entertainment, actor Vijay, financier/producer Anbu Chezhiyan and the distributor of the film Bigil, with regard to collections of the film being around Rs. 300 crores. The search began on Wednesday and the official statement on the results was released yesterday evening.

Thalapathy Vijay's fans trend a 'Master' tag at number 1 after the IT raid

According to the statement presented, the IT department has claimed a seizure of unaccounted cash of about Rs 77 crore, from the properties belonging to the financier.

Vijay was brought to Chennai from his 'Master' shooting in Neyveli on Wednesday evening, for questioning. Four IT department officials had come to his residence in Panayur, ECR, and the search and questioning ended yesterday night. 

While reports claim that the actor was given a clean chit, an official word from the authorities on the same is awaited. Meanwhile, Vijay's fans have been trending the tag 'MasterAudioLaunch' at number one in the Chennai City Twitter trends. Despite the fact that the film is still at production, the fans seem to eagerly await for the Master's speech at the audio launch, with regard to the recent series of events that had taken place.
