STR is currently busy with the preparation of his next film, Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film is touted to be a political thriller and the actor is paired opposite Kalyani Priyadarshan and the shooting of the film will commence of June 25th.
The actor will also play the central character in the Tamil remake of the Kannada blockbuster Mufti, tentatively titled Production No. 20, which also co-stars Gautham Karthik. Directed by Narthan, who had also helmed the Kannada original, shooting for the project had commenced on 15th June. STR will be reprising Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar's role of a dreaded gangster in the original.
The actor's look captured during the film's shooting had indeed raised temperatures and the level of expectations surrounding the film. The new look had the actor sporting a lungi-clad, rustic look. The actor is set to play the role of a gangster in the film.
Apart from that, the actor will also play a extended cameo role in Maha, the 50th film of Hansika. The actor was last seen playing the lead in the Sundar C's comedy-drama Vandha Rajavadhaan Varuven.
