The main crux of the serial is thus: The hero Saravanan apparently has a sweets shop apparently, and is quite excited about meeting his future wife, and his mother just wants him to marry a plain girl, who apparently should take up the role of a homemaker through and through.
However, the family gets duped by Sandhya's brother who plays up Sandhya as an unambitious normal girl, whereas Sandhya has always been determined to make it as an IPS officer. Now as the story progresses with Sandhya struggling to meet the expectations of her mother-in-law, the decision day arrives.
Sivagami, the mother-in-law and the decision-maker of the house is all set to announce whether Sandhya is to continue living in the house or not - Well, she shocks the family by swaying in favor of Sandhya.
