It's been a while since Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan signed a film post the debacle of Zero. Various names were thrown in. Now, comes confirmation that Atlee has been signed on as the director for his upcoming project.

The film's title is "Sanki". Deepika Padukone, who has acted with Khan in Om Shanthi Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year, will be the leading lady.

Atlee who is Shankar's associate has been associated with hit films such as Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal and Bigil.

SRK is also rumoured to have signed a Yash Raj Films production - Pathan, co-starring John Abraham and directed by Siddharth Anand, as per Filmfare.
