Samantha's speech from U Turn Press meet

U Turn is an upcoming film directed by Pawan Kumar, that has Samantha in the lead role. The movie is produced by Srinivasa Chitturi and Rambabu Bandaru. The movie also has Aadhi Pinisetty playing a crucial role. This is a remake of the Kannada movie U-Turn, that released in 2016, featuring Shraddha Srinath.

The team had organised a press meet yesterday. Several celebrities like Siruthai Siva, producer Dhananjeyan and Aadukalam Naren were present at the occasion. Speaking at the event, the female lead Samantha said: "Content is the Hero in U-Turn and it brings everything under it including our presence and other ingredients. When I saw the film in Kannada, I felt that it should reach a greater audience and that’s the reason behind it being remade in Tamil and Telugu. I am really glad to have such golden producers and I pray and believe this film should be a good hit only because of their gesture. The whole movie was completed in a single stretch schedule.”

Further, she added that: "To get a role close to reality isn’t an easy thing that can happen to an actor, especially for an actress. Usually, heroines in commonality have to keep the brains at home and do some roles (Jocular note). During such a context, I felt that U-Turn is a movie that I shouldn’t miss.”

U Turn is releasing on 13 September, and is distributed in Tamil Nadu by Dhananjeyan G, who has produced films like Mr. Chandramouli, and has also distributed film like Zero and Ivan Thanthiran before.
