RADHIKA SARATHKUMAR - "I ASKED MANI RATNAM FOR A ROLE IN PONNIYIN SELVAN, BUT HE SAID..."

Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies have produced the film and the ace director has also written the story of the film along with the director Dhana. Sid Sriram turns Music composer for the first time in Vaanam Kottatum.

In the audio and trailer launch event that happened today, Radhika Sarathkumar took the stage to share her experiences of working in the film, where the yesteryear actress gave a candid and fun speech. Recalling her times while working with Mani Ratnam, Radhika shares that in his second film in which she was cast a classical dancer, Mani Ratnam cried trying to get the required performance.

Radhika jovially added that "Mani would prefer me to do all his important characters, but apparently Aishwarya Rai lacks a few inches than me which makes her, his ideal choice" said the actress, which cracked up the crowd.
