The show has taken several twists and turns since its release and fans have been hooked to it since day one. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, the shoot of the first season was stopped in between. Later when it resumed following Government orders, the serial couldn't proceed with its newcomers. Later, the first season was stopped and the second season started with Mirchi Senthil coming back in the lead role and Rachitha playing his pair.

Rachitha recently announced her exit from 'Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar'. The news took her fans by shock and they were asking her the reason behind it and urged her to continue in the serial. She took to her Instagram story and shared a picture of herself with the caption "Bye Bye Maha". Following this she shared a note with her fans about her untimely exit from NINI 2.

Apologising to her fans for disappointing them, Rachitha asked them to understand her situation and stand by her decision. Stating that she felt worthless many times, she said that she felt that it didn't matter to the makers if she's there or not. Rachitha also asked her followers to keep supporting the team like always as the show must go on. With several speculations going on about who will replace Rachitha in the serial, we hear that Monisha Arshak of 'Aranmanai Kili' serial fame is going to play the role of Maha in NINI 2. However, an official confirmation from the makers is yet to arrive.

Rachita Mahalakshmi, who debuted in the serial 'Pirivom Santhippom' (2011-12) as Jyothi in Vijay TV, rose to fame after her stint in the popular series 'Saravanan Meenatchi'. She starred as Meenatchi in both season two and three of the hit serial. She has also acted in a few movies and is activity taking up projects as a model, show judge and as an actor.
