Sarkar is an upcoming Vijay film, that sees the top hero collaborate with Murugadoss for the 3rd time. The film has Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. The music is composed by AR Rahman while Girish Gangadharan is the cinematographer. 

A controversy has been surrounding the film, regarding the story of the film, where another budding director claimed that he had written the story 10 years ago. Whiel there is tension all around, director and actor Parthiban has posted a funny tweet, without harming anyone.
