“The very first sequence I shot for the film was the jail sequence. I had a lengthy dialogue while he listens to me. He put me at ease by asking me questions like where I was from. I used to think he was a reserved person but he is a fun-loving guy,” she said.

When asked what would be a perfect birthday gift to Vijay, she said, “I had, in fact, posed this question to him. He said he doesn’t like receiving gifts. However, I know that beyond Chennai and Tamil Nadu, New York is his most favourite place in the world. I would like to take him there. He hasn’t been there for the past two years owing to the Covid situation.”
