It is already a known fact that Sridevi was approached first for the role of Sivagami played by Ramya Krishnan. Here is a throwback of another actress who rejected the same role.
 

It was Lakshmi Manchu, who didn't want to play the role of a mother to Prabhas. During an interaction with media, she was quoted as saying, "Yes it is true, it wasn't a gossip. I didn't reject Sivagami's role but rejected to play mother to Prabhas. How could I play mother to Prabhas? I would only get a different feeling (laughs) if I had to act with him and definitely not have the motherly feel."
