The film will be screened as the opening night film at BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa ) film festival to be held at Siri Fort, New Delhi from 2nd to 6th September 2016.

Talking about his film opening the festival, director Jayaraj says, "I am happy and proud in presenting the first screening of my latest movie Veeram, an adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth especially in this quadricentennial of the great writer. The BRICS honour makes VEERAM proud of Shakespeare, Kalari, Kunal and the team members".
