The blockbuster Malayalam film 'Drishyam' featuring Mohanlal attracted a large audience and the film did wonders at the box office. Later, it was remade in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi as well.
Now, as the sequel of the film Drishyam is all set have its worldwide premiere on February 19 on Amazon Prime Video, all eyes are on the director Jeethu Joseph if he is giving any hint about the same sequel in Tamil as well.
Drishyam was remade in Tamil that was titled as Papanasam and had featured Kamal Haasan, Gautami, Nivetha Thomas and Esther Anil in important roles. In a recent interaction with Jeethu Joseph regarding Papanasam 2, the director was quoted saying, “It all depends upon the success of Drishyam 2 and the decision should come from Kamal Haasan Sir. I hope he will think about the second part of Papanasam. I'm also waiting for that call.”
When Behindwoods got in touch with Kamal Haasan’s team regarding this, they have vehemently denied it and said that there are no such plans in the near future. Watch this space for more exciting news!
