BIG: BOLLYWOOD VILLAIN FOR SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH IN DARBAR

While the filming is proceeding at a quick pace, another Bollywood actor joins the spectacular cast of the film. Film and television actor Nawab Shah, well-known for his performances in films such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and the recent Tiger Zinda Hai, has been roped in to play the villain role in the  film.

Nawab Shah made his foray into Tamil cinema with the Vijayakanth-starrer Gajendra, in which the actor played the antagonist, and has played crucial roles in Bose and Jiiva's 2014 action flick Yaan.

 Darbar boasts of a strong technical crew that includes has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by acclaimed lensman Santosh Sivan. The film is bankrolled by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions.
