Here is the list of directors who have directed Rajini more than once

Almost all Tamil directors who grew up watching Superstar Rajinikanth films would have directed Rajinikanth at least in their dreams but in reality very few have been lucky enough to do so. Getting to direct the Superstar itself is a big benediction but to get a chance to direct the veteran twice is something that even directors don’t find such scenes in their dreams. However, Pa Ranjith appears to be a blessed one in that context.

He thereby enters an elite list of directors who have directed Rajinikanth on more than 2 occasions. This upcoming Ranjith project will be Rajinikanth's 161st film. Till date, only 29 directors have actually directed Rajini in more than one occasion. Ranjith becomes the 30th person in the list.

Here is the list of directors who were lucky enough to work with Rajini on multiple occasions. As everyone knows SP Muthuraman tops the list with a maximum number of associations with Rajinikanth as director, followed by K Balachander. Though KB has worked with Rajini on 10 occasions, few of them have been cameo roles. Only 5 directors have actually directed Rajinikanth on more than 5 occasion which includes director P Vasu.
