In what comes across as a major relief to Tamil Film Producers' Council, Honourable Justice PT Asha, in the case that was filed by Advocate K Harishankar, on behalf of members of TFPC, recently issued orders for the payment of the premium for the group medical insurance from the Tamil Film Producers' Council's Welfare Trust. Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu released a statement to this effect recently.

Good news for producers insurance payment approved

In the order, Justice Asha issued direction to the Election Officer Honourable Justice (retired) M Jaichandran to operate the bank account of the Tamil Film Producers' Council's Welfare Trust for the specific purpose of paying the premium for the group medical insurance.

This order would benefit all eligible members of the TFPC, who are already reeling under the effects of the current pandemic, COVID-19. The TFPC, through its Welfare Trust, over the years has been providing medical insurance cover for all its eligible members.
