Gautham Menon talks about his lockdown ideas and the short film

In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, GVM revealed some interesting information on the movie and the different ideas he had during the lockdown. Speaking about the movie, he said “This scene was initially planned in my VTV2 script. With the current scenario, I decided to make this as a short film, and everyone - STR, Trisha, and A.R.Rahman agreed immediately.”

Reacting to the trolls and memes, GVM said “I’m at a point where all these trolls, criticisms, and reviews don’t affect me anymore. I love what I do and all of us give our best when we work. Sometimes, the audience likes it, and there’s a positive response throughout. Sometimes, there are negative responses too. These don’t affect me anymore.”

GVM also added that “I had a few ideas during lockdown - a call between Sathyadev and Victor, a call between Anbuselvan and someone else too.” It is to be noted that Sathyadev and Victor are the iconic characters from his movie ‘Yennai Arindhal’, played by Thala Ajith and Arun Vijay. Anbuselvan was played by Suriya in the 2003 film ‘Kaaka Kaaka’.

He also spoke about how Simbu predicted the memes even before they started shooting for the movie. Check out the full interview here:
