STR is currently busy shooting for his next film, Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film is touted to be a political thriller and the actor is paired opposite Kalyani Priyadarshan and the shooting of the film will commence of June 25th.
The actor will also play the central character in the Tamil remake of the Kannada blockbuster, Mufti, tentatively titled as STR45, which also co-stars Gautham Karthik. Directed by Narthan, who had also helmed the Kannada original, shooting for the project had commenced on 15th June. And sources close to us have shared that STR will wrap up his portion this Saturday.
STR will be seen reprising Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar's role of a dreaded gangster in the original. Recently, one of his rustic-look from the film did good rounds in the social media and raised up the expectation level.
For the first time, Simbu will be seen sharing the screen space with Gautham Karthik. Taking to his social media, the ‘Kadal’ actor shared a video where STR can be seen giving the autographed coolers to him. It is said that STR bought this new sunglass and used it once. When Gautham saw them, he liked it, so STR had immediately gifted him his glasses! Check out the video here -
