Director Sam Anton on his fan-boy moment with Rajinikanth

Superstar Rajinikanth is a phenomenon who enjoys a widespread fan base not just with the common audience but also with his fellow film fraternity.

Director Sam Anton, who is currently doing Enakku Innoru Peru Irukku with GV Prakash as the lead, had his fan boy moment with the matinee idol recently.

Summing up his feelings, Sam says, “I am an ardent Rajini fan and it has always been my dream to meet him. When we went to meet him, he was in his caravan at 2.0 shooting spot. I saw him and I was completely awestruck.  I belong to a group which dances in the theatre whenever Thalaivar comes on screen. And when he came alive in front of me, I did not know what to do. I could not get words to speak.

He called me ‘Anthony’ and I was like- wow, he is calling me like how he did in Baasha. I showed him the poster and the title of my film, which as you all know, is a phrase spoken by sir in Baasha. He was casually asking about me and what I am doing. He also praised GV Prakash for his dance moves. We just had a ten minute conversation, he wished me luck and we left. It was an unforgettable event for me”.
