RS.25 AS MAINTENANCE CHARGE TO BE ADDED FOR CINEMA TICKETS?

As per a press note, it has been stated that the government of Gujarat has given permission to theatres in the state to have a service charge of up to Rs.25 per tickets.

It is also stated that this fee can be charged if the theatre owners pay the applicable tax/GST and if the service charge breakdown is printed on the tickets. Another additional condition states that this maintenance charge has to be used to upgrade the cinema hall to provide better amenities and enhance the quality of cinema experience provided to the crowd.
