Asked about whether Arunraja will ever be contesting in Bigg Boss as the 17th contestant, the Kabali-lyricist said "Depends on their dealing. I might join the show if I agree to their terms and conditions, which is unlikely." He had also said that if he were to send someone in the show, it will be comedian Sathish "I wanted Sathish to participate, since he creates a cheerful environment around him. Other than him, I will send Atlee to the show."

When asked about the comments raised by other viewers regarding their contestants' dressing choices, Arunraja replied "Its wrong to pry in my house, hence no one can comment on my dress while i sleep. If you are watching it as a show, you cannot take it personally. No one has the right to comment about one's dressing sense."

He also said "No one is questioning the violence and hatred the show inspires, instead people are questioning the contestants' sartorial choices. They (the contestants) are living in a house and participating in a show."
