Actor Vijay will be next seen in his upcoming film, Bigil that has Nayanthara in the lead role. Written and directed by Atlee, the sports drama also features Reba Monica John, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Anand Raj and others appear in crucial supporting roles.
The film is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner AGS Entertainment. This will be the third collaboration for the actor and the director after their blockbuster hits - Theri and Mersal.
While the film’s cinematography is handled by G.K Vishnu, the cuts of the film will be handled by Ruben. The music will be composed by Isai Puyal, A.R Rahman. Thalapathy 63 is slated to hit the screens on 2019 Diwali.
We have got a breaking update on the monstrous production cost of the film. The production cost is said to have crossed Rs. 140 crores! Woah! This film will be the most expensive film for Vijay, Atlee and AGS Entertainment. The popular distribution company, Screen Scene Entertainment has acquired the TN theatrical rights for a whopping amount which is said to be their highest in terms of distribution.
This production cost is said to be higher and on par with the cost of blockbuster films, Rajinikanth - Shankar’s 2010 hit, Enthiran and Prabhas - SS Rajamouli’s 2015 hit, Baahubali. Massive, isn’t it? The film’s shoot is said to complete in another 20 days and then the post production works will begin.
