Vijay’s ‘Theri’, directed by Atlee went on to become one of the blockbuster films of the year 2016. It was received on an extremely positive note by the audience, with Vijay enthralling the audience with his stylish acting.
Meanwhile, there have been a lot of speculation about the Telugu remake of ‘Theri’. The latest news is that popular Telugu star Ravi Teja will be playing the lead in the official remake of the movie. The star is said to commence shooting of this yet-to-be-titled film, once he completes the shooting of ‘Disco Raja’.
The movie will be directed by Santhosh Srinivas of ‘Kandireega’ movie fame, and will have Catherine Tresa playing the lead. It is noted that Vijay’s ‘Theri’ had already been dubbed and released in Telugu with the title ‘Policeodu’.
On the career front, Ravi Teja was last seen in ‘Amar Akbar Antony’, which release last year. He is currently shooting for ‘Disco Raja’, directed by Vi Anand of ‘Oka Kshanam’ and ‘Ekadiki Pothavu Chinnavada fame.’
