Simbu's heartfelt moving speech at the audio launch of Inimey Ippadithan held on May 10
Simbu's speech at the audio launch event of the Santhanam starrer Inimey Ippadithan, held yesterday (May 10), is turning out to be a big talking point among the online crowd. Here we present to you the excerpts of his speech at the launch

"I am facing a crowd such as this after 2 long years. I have learnt a lot in this gap and faced a lot of problems and struggles like any common man would. People comment that I am going in a spiritual route. I am going in search of God and not a figure (girl) right?.

I am generally termed as 'born with a silver spoon' but during these past 2 years or so, I have lost money, lost the love of my life and had no releases. It felt so hard to go to my mom, asking for money. I had hopes of marriage and starting a family, but even that didn't happen. I felt like God left me in the lurch.

But I had my dear life, my fans and the media to support me. They generally write controversial stuff about me but I thank the media for all the support over the past 2 years or so.

Gautham sir had belief in me and worked with me in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya when people advised him against doing so. I returned that belief, trust and started working on Acham Enbathu Madamaiyada. But my dad wasn't happy when I let Gautham sir go, to work with Ajith sir in Yennai Arindhaal. But Thala himself met my dad and reassured him that I would come back and fare well in my career.

On the whole, I am very happy to be on this stage. I realized of late that we have to live for others to be truly happy. God is there (Kadavul Irukaan) !!!
