''BAAHUBALI IS OUR HIGHEST EVER GROSSER AMONG OTHER LANGUAGE FILMS''

We have been reading many reports about Baahubali's fabulous performance all over the world. In Tamil Nadu, the Tamil version of the film is super-strong and looks to be in for a steady 2nd week too, despite the release of Maari on 17th. We spoke to Mr. Rakesh, MD of Vettri Theaters to know more about the performance of the Tamil version

 

"The film is holding well all over TN as our native audiences aren't used to seeing such scale of visuals. In our complex, we played the Telugu version prominently for the opening weekend with just 1 show for the Tamil version. From today, we are playing the Tamil version in all the 4 shows as the demand is big.

 

Baahubali is easily the highest grosser among the other language films released in Vettri till date in all our years. The film should hold well for 3 to 4 weeks, though the big screen would be shared with Maari from 17th.

 

This year, if we take Tamil films, I is our highest grosser followed by summer blockbuster Kanchana 2. We have to see if any other film can beat I's benchmark this year."
