IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF AJITH AND SIMBU ...

Metro is an upcoming crime thriller with a social message, directed by 'Aal' fame Ananda Krishnan and featuring newcomer Shirish as the male lead. National award winner Bobby Simhaa is the main antagonist in this film. The film's theme touches upon gold black-marketing.

 

Shirish plays the role of a journalist while the other actors in the film are Maya, Sendrayan, Raja and Thulasi. Uthayakumar wields the camera while Johan composes the tunes for the film.

 

We had a brief chat with the 23 years old Shirish, who happens to be a trained actor, and is also well-versed in dance and stunts.

 

"The shoot and all post-production of Metro have been completed and it is ready for release on a good date. The film will feature just 2 songs as montages, and carries a crisp run time of 2 hours 5 mins.

 

I am a fan of Ajith and Simbu, while my co-star in the film Bobby Simhaa is a very humble person without any starry airs. He transforms from his jovial self the moment he faces the camera.

 

I have also signed on for a horror film as the male lead, and this project will begin in November."

 

Meanwhile Metro's trailer was recently seen and appreciated by a host of leading celebrities including Simbu, Gautham Menon, Karthi, Vishal, Vijay Sethupathi, Jayam Ravi and SJ Suryah.
