FREE SEAT TO A STUDENT

Recently it was in the news that a young girl by name Swathy from Musiri wanting to study agriculture in Coimbatore, had come over to Chennai by mistake for counseling. Thankfully, she was sent immediately by few good Samaritans to Coimbatore by flight. She had also conveyed in an interview that her aim was to study medicine, but unable to do so due to financial constraints.

Hearing this through various sources, A C Shanmugam, founder of Dr.MGR University and ACS Arunkumar, the Chief of the University have come forward to give a free seat to Swathy based on her economic backward status. The university has given a free seat to Swathy to pursue her dental studies (BDS) and Swathy has begun her course from yesterday, the 23^rd September.
