Versus Arrambam in 2013 and against Kaththi in 2014

Not many producers lock their films' release dates before going on floors. Vishal and his production house are part of this rare breed, that releases their film on time - Pandiya Nadu and Naan Sigappu Manithan are fine examples. Despite the release of big guns, like Ajith’s Arrambam and All in All Azhaguraja, the gutsy producer that he is, Vishal released his Pandiya Nadu for Diwali 2013, as planned.
 

Now we have been informed that, Hari’s Poojai, produced by and starring the Naan Sigappu Manithan actor, will positively hit the screens on Diwali day this year, (most probably) locking horns with Vijay’s Kaththi and Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain.
 

Around 75% of Poojai has already been completed, apparently. The team begins their final schedule today, 5^th August, at Patna. The talkie portions will be completed in this schedule, after which the team will fly to Switzerland to can the two remaining songs.
 

Also starring Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and the rest, the film has music by Yuvan and cinematography by Priyan.
