M K Alagiri seeks Rajinikanth for peace of mind

Former Union Minister and the son of DMK patriarch Karunanidhi was recently suspended from all party posts for violating party principles. Since then, there have been numerous reports about his future plans. Meanwhile Alagiri met Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh yesterday (13^th March 2014) in Delhi leading to various speculations among party cadres and political circles.

Alagiri also met superstar Rajinikanth which was revealed by his son Dhayanidhi Alagiri in his microblogger. “dad wished the one and only SUPERSTAR at his residence on the super hit audio launch of #Kochadaiiyaan ! went along and got his blessings...one of the great human beings I've ever met in my life... Long live our SUPERSTAR !”

While there were talks that Alagiri met Rajnikanth in connection with flouting a new party, he dismisses the same and states that he met the superstar as a part of courtesy call and also avers that he met the Kochadaiiyaan hero for peace of mind. Alagiri clarifies, “Rajinikanth is my friend...there was nothing political about this.  I came for peace of mind".
