Suriya is one among the Tamil stars who has a good market in the neighboring states of Andhra, Kerala and Karnataka. With Singam 2, just a few weeks from release, the star is making sure that he is promoting his latest release adequately in these key markets. He recently visited Kochi and Hyderabad to market Singam 2 in these cities and he interacted with the local press there.

In Kochi, Suriya thanked his fans from Kerala for the patronage that they have been giving to most of his movies and he also vowed to do a Malayalam movie if the right script came about.

It must be noted that the earlier Singam was a big hit in all the Southern states and Singam 2 has a lot riding on it, to repeat the success of the first part.
