Santhanam’s maiden production venture under his Handmade Films, Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, had hit a roadblock earlier this year when veteran filmmaker K. Bhagyaraj filed a suit against the makers of KLTA. He accused the makers of KLTA of using the story of his hit film ‘Indru Poi Naalai Vaa’ without due notification or permission.

Now, with only a day before the film’s release, the two parties seem to have arrived at a compromise. KLTA will now carry a card in its title sequence giving credit to Bhagyaraj and his story of ‘Indru Poi Naalai Vaa’, putting this entire matter to rest. KLTA opens tomorrow across TN under the banner of Red Giant productions.
