Jayam Ravi is currently busy with the filming of two of his projects, Boologam and Nimirnthu Nil. In Boologam, he plays a boxer thereby reviving his tryst with sports, on screen. Earlier, he had played a kick-boxer in M.Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, a footballer in the movie Daas and an NCC instructor in the well-received Peraanmai. This is what Ravi has to say about his sentiment with sports.

"I had always been fascinated by sports ever since my childhood, it helped me to keep my spirits high and maintain my physical fitness too .The mental strength of a sports personality makes me take both success and defeat with ease. I am proud to say I have inbuilt strength physically as well mentally, thanks to my sports interest .
I always contemplate ideas on sports development and in the coming years I will spend a lot of my time and conserve my energy to build sports branding. It is just a co-incidence that I am offered sports oriented roles. I prefer any roles that challenge me...
My forthcoming films 'Nimirnthu Nil' with Samuthirakani and 'Boologam' with Kalyan are very close to my heart and the roles that I play in these films are very challenging too.' says Jayam Ravi with confidence brimming in his eyes."
