Celebrating a decade of the classic, Kaakha Kaakha
Aug 01, 2013It's exactly 10 years since the release of Kaakha Kaakha - a movie which created superstars out of Suriya, Harris Jayaraj, Gautham Menon, Jeevan and of course established Jyothika even more firmly on the top.
This movie was a fresh take on the police force of the state and presented them in a really honorable and respectable manner. Kaakha Kaakha had so many things going in its favor - the gripping police encounter scenes, the fiery exchanges between Anbuselvan and Pandiya, the endearing Anbuselvan - Maya romance, Harris Jayaraj's pulsating BGM and those memorable songs and the tragic climax to name a few. Even now the movie is a strong favorite in the DVD market and whenever it is shown on TV
We wish the team of Kaakha Kaakha comes up with a sequel to this cult classic. It's sure to create a monstrous buzz if it happens. After all, who wouldn't love to see Anbuselvan take on more dangerous criminals and bash them to pulp?
