| Bhavana,
the next No.1 heroine? |

The
girl who is carefully observed by
the Tamil film industry is Bhavana,
the heroine of Chitthiram Paesudhedi.
She has now signed up opposite Ajith
in ‘Naan Kadavul.’ Just
19, and from Thrishur, Bhavana made
her debut with the Malayalam film
Nammal. She rose to the top quickly
and has acted with leading stars in
Malayalam.
The first Tamil film she signed up
was Koodal Nagar, pairing with Bharath,
but the movie was shelved because
of financial crisis. |

It
was her second movie, Chitthiram Paesudhedi
that released first.
It is this factor that is making Bhavana
a hot stuff. There is a sentiment
in the industry that the heroines
whose second films are released first,
go on to become No1 heroines. Simran
was booked for VIP but it was her
second movie Once More that released
first. |

The
same was the case with Trisha. She
was booked for Ennakku 20, Unakku
18 but it was her second movie Laesa
Laesa that released first. Asin too,
comes with a similar background. Her
first film was Ullam Kaetkumae but
it was her second movie, Kumaran,
s/o Mahalakshmi that hit the theatres
first and made her a hot stuff.
The producers and directors are sure
of this sentiment working out. Well,
if you too believe their sentiments,
Bhavana is on her way to the top.

And
the latest trend in Kollywood is to
approach Bhavana first and if she
says no, then approach others. The
most affected by Bhavana’s entry
is another Malabar girl Meera Jasmine.
She was supposed to star opposite
Ajith in Bala’s Naan Kadavul.
But the offer later went to Bhavana.
And in Kizhakku Kadarkarai Salai,
Meera was considered first to pair
with Srikanth, since the pair did
a good job in Mercury Pookal. But,
here too, Bhavana came across and
grabbed the chance. Poor Meera, she
has, now, turned her focus to Telugu.
Hope Bhavana doesn’t go there
and disturb pretty Meera. |

One
thing that Bhavana is very particular about
is glamour. She says she won’t do
glamourous role even if they shell down
millions. Many were the stars who had said
like this and then went back on their word.
