A New Zealand-based company has announced plans to offer unlimited vacations to its employees.

Usually in many offices you have to follow different procedures to get a holiday. Every employee is facing various difficulties for the holidays as there are unilateral rules, harassment, reason for taking leave and working on weekends for it. Now, a New Zealand-based IT company has announced an action plan to offer its employees unlimited leaves.

Unlimited Leaves

Through this scheme employees can take leaves as many days as they want in a year. The bizarre announcement was made by Action Step, an IT company headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand.

Speaking at the event, Steve, Vice President of the company's engineering division, said, "There was a little bit of scepticism at the start and a few questions asked like 'can I just take three months off and go' but we've been able to work through all the questions with our staff and get them excited for the opportunity it provides. We trust our staff and hope that they trust us as well."

Not the first time

ActionStep is not the first company to implement such an unlimited vacation plan. Companies like Netflix and LinkedIn have already implemented this policy before. But most of these employees seem to have taken fewer vacations than they thought.

Speaking about this, Steve said, "We have created a minimum demand for all our offices around the world so that we can keep track of these targets and ensure that employees take the minimum number of vacations."

Steve says the project is the first step towards making it easier for us to grow if their employees are healthy and happy. New Zealand-based Actionstep has announced that it will be offering unlimited vacations to its employees, much to the surprise of many.

The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards will be held this year on May 15 and 22 at the Island Ground in Chennai Island from 6pm to 11.30pm. Ticket booking for this is currently underway.
