Uber has reportedly signed a contract with NASA to develop software, which the company aims to use to manage ‘flying taxis’ priced competitively with standard Uber journey. Reports say, the flights will have a pilot during initial flights, but could be automated in future. The first demonstrations can reportedly be expected in 2020, which might move into commercial operations by 2023.
