VIDEO: DONALD TRUMP TROLLS ACADEMY FOR HONORING 'PARASITE' AS BEST PICTURE

US President Donald Trump slammed the 2020 academy award-winning South Koren movie 'Parasite' for its recognition as Best Picture. 

In his recent speech, Trump recalled the recently concluded Academy awards and asked, "By the way, how bad were the Academy Awards this year? Did you see it?"

"And the Winner is a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about? We got enough problems with South Korea with trade. On top of it, they give them the best movie of the year?," added Trump

Further Trump quoted the classic American movies - Gone With the Wind (1939), Sunset Boulevard (1950) which were given the best picture awards by the Academy and suggesting why Academy missed recognising similar kind of movies for Best Picture category this year.

The video uploaded by Bloomberg ends with Trump asking, "Did this ever happen before". In fact 'Parasite' is the first Non-English film to receive the honour of Best picture in the history of Academy Awards.
