In a bizarre but funny incident, a 36-year-old woman named Michelle from Sussex threw herself a wedding-themed birthday party because she wanted a wedding and not a husband.

Michelle got herself a white gown, made a Facebook event titled ‘Mitchelle’s Wedding’ and invited a bunch of her friends and relatives. She told the guests to wear white outfits as well.

“What’s better than to be surrounded by all my friends and family in a huge polyester gown? And I don’t even have to go home and live with a man for the rest of my life,” she was quoted as saying by StoryPick.

“The message behind this is that I’m independent and strong. I’ve tried to teach my daughter that she doesn’t need a partner if she doesn’t want one,” she was further quoted as saying.
