Ten countries including Mexico, Philippines, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore have reportedly approved the first dengue vaccine, Dengvaxia, developed by Sanofi Pasteur. However, the vaccine recognised by the World Health Organization is not yet approved in India. According to reports, DCGI has said that the approval is under scrutiny.
