THERE IS NO HIKE IN GOVERNMENT BUS TICKETS SAYS MINISTER SHIVA SHANKAR - DETAILS!

Transport Minister SS Sivasankar has issued a statement saying that there is a rumor that the fare has been increased in the buses of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and the fare has not been increased.

Tamil Nadu Transport Minister SS Sivasankar has said that the increase in fares for buses operated by the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TSTC) was just a rumor on social media. The Minister has issued a statement in this regard. In it, he said, "There are constant rumors circulating about the fare hike for Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation buses. There are rumors that a schedule has been prepared for the fare hike. I was questioned about it today. I would like to inform you that no such schedule has been prepared."

Contract Rule

On buses operating from Tamil Nadu to other states, the statement said, "When entering into an agreement for bus services between the two states, the agreement stipulates that if the fare in one state is increased, the fare of buses entering that state will be increased. That is how the permit will be issued. Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation buses plying between the states will be charged at the rate fixed in that state.

It has been misinterpreted as "spreading the false message that the schedule is ready to increase fares for all buses operating in Tamil Nadu".

The minister said in a statement that so far 112 crore women have traveled for free on buses under the free travel scheme for women introduced in Tamil Nadu.

The minister also stressed in the statement that "do not spread the false message that the tariff hike schedule is ready".
