MAN STEALS JEWELRY FROM AN OLD WOMAN TO PAY TAXES FOR THE TEMPLE FESTIVAL

The action done by a young man to pay taxes for the temple festival has come as a shock.

Vaiyyammal (age 80) hails from Kandasamypuram, Vilathikulam, Thoothukudi district. Vaiyyammal has been living alone since her husband died. Vaiyyammal was sleeping at home last night. Then a mysterious person opened the back door of the house and tried to snatch the gold chain from her neck. Thus the old woman struggled to let go off the necklace. But the mysterious person pulled the necklace from her neck and the jewelry broke into 2 pieces. The mysterious person escaped with one half. 

Following this, the neighbors heard the screams of the lady and ran to see them. Then the old woman was shocked to find that half of the necklace was missing. Following this they informed the Vilathikulam police station. Police rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation using the identities given by grandmother Vaiyyammal. Kumarasyan's son Parthasarathy (age 38) from the same area was then suspected by the police.

Following this, Parthasarathy was immediately arrested and interrogated. Parthasarathy, who initially refused, later confessed to stealing the necklace from the lady. After this, the police confiscated the gold jewelery hidden in the stolen soil from him.

Following this, Parthasarathy told the police that he had stolen the jewelery from the lady as he did not have money to pay taxes for the temple festival. It is said that he used to work as a laborer in the house of his grandmother Vaiyyammal. He has also been doing the necessary assistance to the grandmother. Not only did his grandmother Vaiyyammal help him by giving him money, he also cooked for Parthasarathy at his house many times.
