Tamil Nadu on Saturday, August 29th, reported 6,352 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 52,726

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 2,51,013/1,64,548/29

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –149 (63 govt. And 86 Private)

- Total number of samples tested till date – 46,54,797

- Total number of samples tested today – 80,988

- Total number of persons tested till date – 44,99,670

- Total number of persons tested today – 78,973

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 3,55,727

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,045

- Total number of deaths today / till date – 87 (28 Private and 59 Govt) / total 7137
