TASMAC REOPENING IN TN: STALIN AND OTHER OPPOSITION LEADERS STAGE 'BLACK FLAG' PROTEST ACROSS STATE!

The leaders of the DMK and its alliance partners on Thursday staged a black – flag protest. They were against the “failure of the central and state governments in providing adequate relief and rehabilitation to people, and the Tamil Nadu government’s decision to open TASMAC-run liquor shops.” 

Stalin and other Opposition Leaders Stage \'Black flag\' Protest

The leaders and cadres protested outside their homes. DMK President M.K. Stalin was seen wearing a black shirt, a black flag and raising slogans against the government at his Chittaranjan Road bungalow. His son, the youth wing secretary, Udhayanidhi Stalin and his wife also took part in this protest. 

Mr. Stalin demanded ₹5,000 to be given to the poor people who are being severely affected by the coronavirus outbreak and Lockdown. 

G. Ramakrishnan, Polit Bureau member, CPI(M), K. Balakrishnan, state secretary and secretariat member K. Kanagaraj also raised slogans against the government.

Arjun Sampath, the founder of Hindu Makkal Katchi also staged a silent protest in front of Coimbatore Corporation main office and conveyed his dissent and opposition against the move of opening TASMACs. He was arrested by the city police. 

Reports of tipplers waiting in long lines outside TASMACs across the state are coming in.
