While TTV Dhinakaran - an independent candidate has taken a massive lead in the fifth round, BJP is still lagging behind NOTA. BJP’s candidate Karu Nagarajan has won 318 votes. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has taken a dig at the vote counts and said that BJP, the ruling party of the center has not even won a quarter of votes that NOTA has won. A by-election was held on December 21.
