After Tamilisai Soundararajan was announced as the Governor of Telangana, the race has begun to fill the position of BJP president in Tamil Nadu. Earlier it was speculated that former AIADMK minister Nainar Nagenthran, State general secretary from Thanjavur M ‘Karuppu’ Muruganantham and former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan were the top contenders for the post.

KT Raghavan is likely the next BJP president of TN

According to the latest reports by Thanthi TV, H. Raja, K.T. Raghavan and Vanathi Seenivasan were also added to the list. The reports further state that K.T Raghavan is likely to be the front runner for the post. KT Raghavan is the current state secretary of BJP representing Kanchipuram district. Nagendran joined BJP after the demise of late CM J Jayalalitha and is currently the vice-president of state BJP.

While H Raja is presently serving as one of the National Secretaries of BJP, Vanathi Seenivasan serves as the General Secretary of Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party. On the other side, Pon Radha Krishnan and Muruganantham have RSS roots to their influence.
