AFTER KILLING HYDERABAD RAPE ACCUSED, PEOPLE START DISCUSSING POLLACHI RAPE ISSUE; BRIEF REPORT

The brutal rape and murder of Disha ( name of the Hyderabad Woman Veterinary doctor changed as per police orders) at Hyderabad turned the lights on Pollachi rape suspects.

The 4 suspects K. Thirunavukkarasu, 27; N. Sabarirajan alias Rishwanth, 25; N. Sathish, 29; and T. Vasanthakumar, 24, were accused of sexual harassment, robbery, violation of privacy, etc and an FIR was filed on February 24 by the Tamil Nadu police who belong to Crime Branch CID.

After the Hyderabad Veterinary doctor accused were shot dead in an encounter, the netizens went furious over the rape suspects of Pollachi not punished yet and started trending Pollachirapist on twitter.

It has to be mentioned that the Pollachi rape suspects allegedly sexually molested hundreds of women, shot video and blackmailed them for years. The incident came to light in April 2018 and several other shocking incidents unveiled as the days passed by. Reportedly the 4 suspects were charged with an FIR only on February 24, 2019.

While Hyderabad Veterinary doctor suspects were investigated and shot dead in an encounter quickly within 10 days, the Pollachi rape suspects are being left freely for more than a year seems to be the obvious outburst of people today.
