'Tamil Karpom' host passes away in Chennai

M Nannan, popular for his classes in Doordarshan programme ‘Tamil Karpom’ during the 1980’s and 1990’s reportedly passed away at the age of 94 at his residence in Chennai. Reports say, he was a Tamil professor at Presidency college in Chennai and was the recipient of Tamil Nadu’s Periyar, Thiru Vika and Anna awards. Notable political leaders including DMK leader Stalin, sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran and PMK founder S Ramadoss conveyed their condolences.
