According to the reports filed by the government in the Madras High Court, elders brought to government institutions have allegedly refused to return back to St. Joseph's Hospice at Palleswaram in Kancheepuram district.
Reportedly, the Madras High Court has ordered for the appointment of a team of lawyers to know the elders' thoughts individually.
The reaction came in after it was announced on Tuesday that the 278 aged people in government institutions should be handed back to St. Joseph's Hospice after 12 of them reportedly died.
