Chennai bank staff approved huge amount as loan for fake gold

A gold loan of Rs 7.5 lakhs was reportedly granted to two people for submitting fake gold jewellery. The 55-year-old appraiser, working for Central Bank of India in Vepery reportedly joined with the two who pledged the jewellery. A complaint has reportedly been filed against the appraiser and the two people. The incident came to light when bank authorities made a surprise inspection in the bank.
